Anode materials play a pivotal role in the functioning of a Lithium Ion Battery. Whether powering our smartphones, electric vehicles, or renewable energy storage systems, anodes are fundamental components that influence the overall performance and efficiency of these technologies. The choice of anode material is critical, which dictates factors such as Discharge Capacity, Cycle life, and charging rate of a LiB. Almost all the LiB in the world use graphite materials as anode material due to its material characteristics such as structural stability, low electrochemical reactivity and structural alignment for storing lithium ions.
Anode material (Graphite material) enables electric current to flow through the battery while allowing reversible storage/release of lithium ions received from the cathode. During the process of charging a LiB, lithium ions are stored in the anode. During the process of discharging, the lithium ions flow back to the cathode through the electrolyte.
Himadri aims to produce Best-In-Class Anode Materials with “Low Carbon Footprint”. Himadri is backwardly integrated to the precursor coke for Anode Materials through our in-house precursor “Meso-coke” technology. Himadri’s Anode Materials aim to address main LiB applications in EVs and ESS.
We offer primarily 4 different types of Anode materials to our customers. However, each particular type is further customized and developed to suit and better the customer requirements and battery performance respectively.
